Putter Grips

Oversized putter grips have become more popular in golf and they have helped lower scores all over the world. The advantage of having a slightly larger putter grip means that your hands, wrists and forearms are able to relax. As a result this helps your shoulders rock naturally for a more repeatable stroke.

Many Tour players you see on the television use putter grips which are larger than usual or have a slightly different shape. Players choose these grips so they can effectively distribute their grip pressure on the putter to relieve tension in the putting stroke.

NEW Driving Balls at Wells Golf Club

After many adjustments on the driving range I have decided to improve the facility by purchasing 5500 BRAND NEW Range Balls. The new range balls are 100% performance, 2 piece golf balls which have been tested and compared against other leading range balls. I used our Flightscope X2 Elite to determine which range balls performed best to maximise the academy.

Once weather conditions improve the new range balls will be added to our machine so everyone can experience a better quality range session.

May I remind all members and visitors that hitting your own golf balls on our driving range is not permitted as we want to keep all golf balls to a matching standard. Lessons and Custom Fittings will now be delivered using the new range balls and therefore to keep this service consistent other golf balls are no longer allowed!

No matter how bad the weather is our range will always remain open so you can practice regardless! The floodlit under cover driving range will remain open late on a Wednesday so you can make the most of your practice.
