Ladies Winter Away Day
The ladies section at Wells Golf Club enjoyed a Winter Away Day at Tall Pines Golf Club recently organised by Tina Davies, Ladies Vice Captain. The crisp winter conditions helped Chris Gee and Tina Davies to a clear victory with 41 points in this four ball betterball competition.
February Bowmaker
Club Captain, Erica Klim, organised a February Bowmaker in which there was a draw for partners. The competition was hotly contested and the team coming in first with a very creditable 66 points were Mike Magrath, Bill McCallum and Jon Mackness. In second place were Steve Guy, Aidan Guy and Richard Sheard. This competition is part of the Captain's Points accumulator which will run throughout the year.

The M2 driver is a simplified version of the M1 driver with less adjustability on the face, however there is still a loft adjustability sleeve to allow golfers to change the loft and face angle.

Similar to the M2 driver, the head material is a lot lighter than previous TaylorMade models. It's ultra-light carbon crown combined with a strong flexible face makes the fairway wood hotter than ever. The shallow head design helps to rest the club on any type of lie so you can feel more confident at address.
M2 rescue - £149
The new M2 is a very confidence inspiring club at address and is designed for longer consistent shots from all types of lies. The redesigned open channel speed pocket creates a larger sweet spot and ensures that the strike is powerful. This club is great for players who don't carry long irons and struggle playing fairway woods from tough lies.
M2 irons (5-SW) - £549.99
It's very hard to find the right balance when designing an iron which needs to look appealing and deliver distance and power. However, TaylorMade have managed it with the new M2 iron which has the right combination to aid your game!
Rather than adding weights and making the irons larger, TayorMade have worked on three key weight saving features. The L shaped toe design, combined with a 360 undercut, means the centre of gravity has more room to move lower in the iron. A lower centre of gravity means the lofts can be made stronger without sacrificing peak trajectory.

Oversized putter grips have become more popular in golf in recent years and they have helped lower scores all over the world. The advantage of having a slightly larger putter grip means that your hands, wrists and forearms are able to relax. As a result this helps your shoulders rock naturally for a more repeatable stroke.
