Dave Parsons Trophy - Monday, 27 June

The Dave Parsons Trophy was established by his wife after Dave Parsons died just before his 60th birthday. This year's competition was played in perfect conditions with 38 seniors taking part. The event was played over 17 holes due to the 10th hole being unavailable due to work on the paths.

The winning score of 36 points was achieved by Roger Webber, who also had the distinction of an eagle two on the 15th. In second place with 35 points on countback was Mike Hyles, and last year's winner Martin Barnes had to settle for third. More conventional twos on par three holes were achieved by Pete Boehm, Bill McCollum, Chris Strickland, Len Sweales and Colin Webber.

New In - TomTom Golfer 2 GPS Watch - £199.95

The new TomTom Golfer 2 GPS watch is an updated version to the very popular TomTom watch we have on offer already. The updated TomTom now detects shots automatically and stores the information so you can analyse your play after your round using the TomTom MySports App.

A hand held GPS unit, which you can use for measuring flag distances, can struggle to pick up hazards and therefore leaves you with uncertainty stood behind your ball. However, the new TomTom eliminates that feeling by measuring distances to reach and carry hazards as well as lay up points. The auto scorecard tracks the score to make it easy for a golfer to see what is working in their game, and what improvements can be made, however putts need to be added manually after each hole.

The new software 'My Sports' gives insights into shot patterns and greens in regulation. Rounds can be studied hole-by-hole in order to build on your strengths and improve your weaknesses. Similar to its previous model, the TomTom Golfer 2 uses graphics to easily visualise the best approach to the green, giving precise distances to front and back of the hazards on over 40,000 courses worldwide. Its sleek, lightweight, water-resistant and durable for long-lasting comfort, meaning you can concentrate on your game with less stress. Additional features of the TomTom Golfer 2 include:

  • Green distances - Precise yardages to front, centre and back of green.
  • Hazards - See distances to individual hazards along the fairway.
  • Lay-up - See remaining distances to lay-up points.
  • Greenview - View unique green and hazard graphics before your shot.
  • Round tracking - Keep track of the score, distance, and time for your round.
  • Daily course updates - Receive course updates wirelessly from your smartphone.
  • Wireless syncing - Sync your session wirelessly on TomTom MySports app.
  • Weather and water resistant.
  • Perfect fit - Select large or small straps to ensure the perfect fit for your wrist.
