Turkey Trot 4BBB - Saturday, 5 November

November has started and the crisp, cold weather is fast approaching with all 88 members wrapping up warm to contend with the course. Despite the cold weather this didn't freeze the player's abilities to post some great scores onto the leaderboard.

Congratulations to Phillip Kenworthy and Grant Rogers who won the Turkey Trot 4BBB competition with an impressive 43 points, winning £52 each. Second place went to Mike Cundill and Nigel Goodwin with 42 points (Countback) who received £26 each and third place went to Gary Nutt and Paul Hembury with 42 points (Back 9) who received £13 each.

All teams who made a two on the day receive £11 per player. Well done to all the prize winners, monies will be on accounts in the professional shop.

Past Captains vs. Seniors - Thursday, 3 November

The eagerly awaited Past Captains vs. Seniors Match saw a conclusive victory for the Past Captains. The Seniors got off to a good start with Bill McCollum and George White beating Richard Booth and Steve Rowse. However, the Captains responded with wins for Phil Slater and Jim Saint against Dave Hayward and Nick Carter, Adrian Lawrence and George Davis against Glyn Hallett and Chris Strickland, and Andy Williams and Derek Biggs against Peter Leverick and Len Sweales. There was late consolation for the Seniors when the match between Piers Dalby with Bill O'Callaghan and John Chillington with Stuart Mann was halved. Peter Leverick won both the nearest-the-pin prizes.

You will also have the benefit of PGA Professionals Jack Heginbotham and James Keitch who will also be assisting with course management and practice techniques to aid you in your golfing development. The evening will consist of presentations from James, Jack and James as well as an interactive Q&A session. More about James Lambdon can be seen below:

"Prior to joining Team Bath, James combined a number of teaching and applied sport psychology roles at St. Mary's Twickenham, Southampton Solent and the University of Chichester, with a role as Head Coach of the Elite Development Programme at Chelsea Football Club. He also works with the Welsh Golf Union elite squads and many elite sports athletes."

Christmas Draw

It's amazing to think that Christmas is fast approaching, with the recent weather it seems like we have finished summer and now we are starting to think about the festive period. The pro shop has started to sell tickets already and six days in already the tickets are selling fast, therefore pop in and don't miss out on a fantastic Christmas Draw with a twist…

The tickets will be numbered 1 - 500 and the amount you pay for your ticket is based upon the number of the ticket you draw out of the hat at random. Every ticket number is the amount in pence you pay for your ticket e.g. If you pick ticket number 20 you will pay 20p for your ticket, pick ticket 380 and you pay £3.80 for your ticket. Therefore, the minimum you pay for a ticket is 1p and the maximum is £5. The prize table will be worth over £1,000.
