Two Ball Texas Scramble - Saturday, 21 January
It was a cold frosty start to Saturdays Texas Scramble Competition with ground conditions hard and bouncy, however despite the conditions all the course wall fully open on greens. There was a fantastic turn out to the event with all competitors battling against the elements, especially when it came to stopping the balls on the green. The results are as follows:
First place - Trevor Cook and Ian Gleave - 65 nett (£54 each), second place - Pascal Norman and Michael Sharp - 65.25 nett (£27 each) and in third place - Steve Porter and David Cunningham - Nett 66 (£13.50 each).
The two spots recorded on the day were worth £18 per person, well done to Trevor Cook and Ian Gleave, David Szymanski and Andy Marshall, Bob Sampson and Pete Michell and Rory Meek and Ron Davey. Well done to all the prize winners and monies will be added onto your accounts in the professional shop.
Saturday Ball Raffle
Most competitors who take part in club events are probably fully aware about the professional raffle events and draws we include on the day. This week we conducted a raffle event, the raffle was simply… the amount of raffle tickets sold went to one lucky winner in the value of golf balls. For example this week we had 81 entries and therefore our lucky winner John Law picked up £81 worth of golf balls. The raffle was done out of a hat and Alan Obern, one of our members, kindly picked a ticket out the hat and drew the winner.
Simulator Winter League
A reminder members who have entered our winter league but yet to play would of received an email regarding booking a time slot for your 9 Holes. If you haven't already booked a time, we advise you book fast to avoid missing a time slot.
