New member of staff joins the Wells professional shop team... From Monday, 2 October we will have a new Assistant starting his PGA Training at Wells Golf Club, Luke Ayrton. Please find attached below a few words from Luke himself. We hope you all join us in welcoming Luke to Wells Golf Club. "My name is Luke Ayrton, I am 23 years old and the new Assistant Professional at Wells Golf Club. I have been playing golf for eight years and managed to reduce my handicap to one before turning professional. I was a member at Cumberwell Park Golf Club in Wiltshire from the age of 15. During my time as an amateur I was lucky enough to represent my club and county at junior and senior levels. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an amateur golfer with my biggest achievement as an amateur being winning my Men’s Club Championship in 2016 by three shots. I decided earlier on this year that I wanted to turn Professional and become a Golf Coach, being able to help other people improve their golf game is definitely something that would motivate me to coach. This is something that would personally give me a lot of satisfaction. I am extremely excited to be starting at Wells Golf Club this autumn, I feel very privileged to be given an opportunity by Jack to join his team and initiate my PGA. I look forward to meeting the members and staff at Wells Golf Club and hope to be as helpful as possible in the future."
