TaylorMade’s M5 driver

This weeks’ Product Review spotlight comes from PGA Professional Luke Collins, who made the switch to TaylorMade’s M5 driver this year.

Almost all of the drivers on the market in 2019 are competing against each other in terms of forgiveness and distance. Same as every year then…

What I like about this years’ M5 driver is that they’ve allowed the face to be as fast as you’re going to get but also extremely stable, so you always feel that solid hit, even on those slight miss-hits.

It is definitely the longest driver I’ve ever had, with the most forgiving face for straighter distance. That gives me a lot of confidence when I stand on the tee box.

Add into that set-up the adjustable loft sleeve, the inverse T-Track and TaylorMade’s adjustable weighting system, this club allows me to be very specific to how I want the driver to perform in terms of finding the optimal spin and trajectory to suit my game.

Twist Face just got faster

Every M5 driver head has been individually calibrated and injected to reach the threshold of the maximum legal limit of ball speed. So, whether you’re fighting for your club championship or battling it out in your usual weekend fourball, you’ll be playing with a driver that’s engineered to make everybody faster.

Another way to gain distance

On the face of it, the mechanics of golf are really quite simple: the further you hit the ball, the easier it will be to get the white thing into the hole in the fewest shots. Club technology, swing changes and even work down the gym help us achieve our target of more distance, but maybe there's another way...
