Is your putter the right length?
Length equally affects both distance control and direction of the putt, so having the correct putter length is very important with putting.
Putters for men are mostly sold in 35 to 34inches as factory standard lengths and women’s putters are standard at 33 inches, but the average standard-length putter used on the PGA Tour is 33” to 33 ½” for men and women will usually fit into 31” to 32 ½” lengths.
When fitting putters, length should always be the first fitting consideration!

Is your grip correct for your putting technique?
Over the last five years thicker putter grips have become more popular, but how do they actually help you hole more putts?
Well, it’s all to do with making your hands less active and getting your shoulders working more in a pendulum motion.
One of the key benefits is that your fingers don’t wrap all the way round a thick putter grip and so naturally relax more than when using a traditional grip. This means they are far less likely to manipulate the face angle as you make your stroke, leading to better accuracy.
The grip size also has a huge benefit with golfers who struggle with putting yips.
