PING Fitting Day

PING are scheduled to be on-site for Monday 21st October from 2pm to 6pm for a fitting experience like no other.

The day is an excellent way to try all the current PING equipment with their own expert fitting professional.

So if you have been thinking about upgrading your equipment with PING then be sure to get booked in early so to avoid disappointment.

Pro's advice

Check your loft & lie on your irons...

Why? Well ask yourself these questions...

Are your clubs forged?

Are your distances between clubs causing you troubles?

Is the direction of your ball flight differing between clubs?

Whilst a good number of you will be familiar with this idea, you may not realise that your clubs lie angles can change as a direct result of general use and should be checked periodically - particularly important for forged clubs and specialist wedges that tend to move more easily.

We can check that your clubs still meet the specification that they were when ordered, and even highlight issues such as uneven loft gapping, which will affect the distance gaps between your irons.

October non-qualifying club competitions

Where did that season go?

Somehow we will soon find ourselves in October but we still want to keep your competitive juices flowing with a schedule of Saturday and Sunday competitions with two separate Order of Merits running to see who can top our autumn swing.

Check out the schedule below:

Saturday competitions:

- Saturday 12th October
- Saturday 26th October

Book online through Club V1 with tee bookings from 8:00am to 13:30pm. The format will be an Individual stableford format (full handicap) with men playing from the white tees and ladies from the reds.

Best two scores from three count towards Saturday order of merit, plus weekly prizes.

Sunday competitions:

- Sunday 6th October
- Sunday 13th October
- Sunday 20th October
- Sunday 27th October

No tee booking required for this individual stableford (full handicap) with men playing from the white tees and ladies from the reds.

Best three scores from four to count towards Sunday order of merit, plus weekly prizes

Order of Merit prizes:

1st - £75

Once upon a time, small clubhead sizes were the norm, which offered very little in the way of forgiveness off the tee with adjustability just another way of saying you needed to change up your swing.
