It's another roll-over...

This week the Proshop Bonus Ball has another roll-over

Bonus ball number 32 was the winning number on Saturday 26th and the slot was empty! Therefore, a minimum of £110 can now be won Saturday, so make sure you enter and pick a square before next weekat only £2 per square.

Don’t let good score slip away…

When it comes to replacing the spikes on your golf shoes you are spoilt for choice. We have a variety of soft spikes which fit most major golfing shoe brands and you can check out chart below via the button.

If your spikes have seen better days pop into the professional shop and we will remove the old spikes and replace them with new ones with soft spikes from £12.

How often should you re-grip your clubs?

Your grips are a vital part of your game. They are your only point of contact with the club, so when they lose their feel and tackiness it can cause a host of swing problems.

A recent nationwide survey found 66% of golfers who had their clubs regripped show an average of 3.5 shots dropped off their scores per round.

A new set of grips should last you 18 months, if you play/practice three to four times per week.
However, to get the best feel and performance from your grips, you should look to replace them every year.

The Importance of knowing your yardages...

Whilst hitting the ball further would benefit all golfers, it might not be attainable to most, so it is important to find other ways to help increase our chances of improving our scores.

Knowing exactly how far you can carry each club is undervalued by most amateur golfers, which on face value is complete madness. We should probably try to measure this twice a year at least - especially in Winter!
Can you imagine a tour player or elite amateur being able to compete in their respective events without knowing exact distances of how far the ball is going?
